cant sleep darn it!

right now all reasoning has been chunked out the window

its 4:39 am 2nd day of July and Im on my bed, laptop in hand, and drumming away on the keyboards…

funny thing happened today- a game was played and the objective was simple…

give cher a good time while making her turn all the possible shades of red under the pier one lights…

as far as propriety was concerned, it was momentarily held at bay (hahaha soldier gurl ba kuki?)

and as a result, sleep refuses to meet my consciousness and the land of nod seem so far from my reach.

One word Yosuke.

Its a childish- highschool-ish crush I suppose, but nonetheless equally as heart racing as it was 8 years ago…

so now, i just sit tight, opened my yahoo messenger and pray that someone, somewhere— a friend of mine will choose to wake up and chat with me— that is before I start raving about a situation so small and easily forgotten by the other party on this blog and continue to embarass myself!

hehehe

P1010095 Bright sunshiney Day…

Well, it did start that way. It was late when i finally got myself out of bed. took lunch and drove to the cemetery with my family…

ho hum right? but as i was sitting there bored and uninterested in what is going around me.. i fiddled with my camera and started taking diff pics of people… flowers, brightly colored umbrellas… and even my family.

I begun to realize how this simple tradition that went on and on (commemorating our dead) has brought my family together before..now… sparse number would just drop by, leave flowers and leave…

P1010083 when i was a kid… my cousins and i would spend the whole day making candle balls… balls made of wax as we eagerly await the candles to melt so we can add them to our collection…

P1010075 i also miss when we would stay up till the sun sets and that is when we would begin to tell scary stories and would each take turns holding the flashlight… my cousins are all grown up now…like me. and i didnt even get to spend one minute with them this all soul’s day…

P1010068 my best friend texted.. I thought that i rarely spend time with him so this was a good chance for us to catch up… with his family, they don’t really believe in the sort of tradition— he says that teh person is dead and that is that… i wanted to say something but i didn’t want to argue so i just kept quiet… we walked…talked…ate… i realized that it was just the two of us. Years ago, we would be a bunch of teenagers going from one tombsite to another, dropping by to collect our friends from their families and then hang out.

Now, only two or three people from high P1010093school were in sight… where were they? busy with work? with their families?…

I also saw some people from church but was shy to say hi, they looked so preoccupied… and i like the fact that i was just watching…observing… makes me realize how one can easily disappear in the crowds… Just like the dead whoose purpose serve as the reason for this particular occasion… but did we ever spend time really talking about them? remembering them?…

where do i go from here

slow day…

hahaha— got the crimson wave today (boy oh boy) and then finished watching GTO… yosh!

sometimes i think im wasting time doing inane stuff all day.. the bag im making still umfinished… the novel im writing half done… the decision to transfer to an ad company or a travel company still in the gallows waiting to be unhooked… odi? odi? where?!

..also… im like half short for the marie france treatment that im so willing to take a crack at—> sigh* anyways, i need to take my rest its almost 12 (in my bio-clock) and i need to wake up early for church and the fun run bukas. ciao…

moving on

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

change is the only constant thing in this world…

is probably the most true expression or quote right now…

I am really torn right now. I am so happy for a friend of mine for he will move on and find a better job, a career that he really loves and has passion for, i remembered when i first met him… i was the one who said one time that "someday we may never see each other again.. in our lives we cross paths with so many different people and develop connections with some of them… but eventually we will all not see each other but what had happened will always be a part of our lives…"

how true right? well… it is with a heavy sigh and a happy tear that i congratualate hockeyblood (who never really taught me hockey despite his promise!) hahahaha good luck with me and the ice skates di ba? but to my dear brother aj… i know you are blessed. Be all you can be. look unto God and see that your path is laid out before you.

aja aja! fighting!

freinchecker

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

what is a Frienchecher? If you ask me then I would probably not answer you directly because I just invented the word from thin air (so to speak)…

Freinchecker def. noun. A close friend who plans an event, night out, meeting, date, a dinner/lunch or brunch, watch a movie etc… and ends up canceling out on you on the last minute—and (it doesn’t end there) and… at the last last last minute, telling you that he/she is available again to meet.

Etymology is from the english word "friend+ rain + check), friend is someone who is close to you and has a bond or special meaning to you, someone who is more than an acquaintance… a rain check is when someone cancels out… put ‘em together we have a friend who constantly rain checks on you…

Well it’s ok really if there are some valid reasons like family and a previous responsibility… that is really forgivable and i am totally amenable to any changes if it involves that… but lousey excuses that can be spotted a mile away with inverted binoculars is really soemthing that makes my blood boil…(hahahaha so jay-ar tama ka pala noh? pissed pa rin ba? hinde naman…)

i guess all i am really pointing out is for a little sensitivity… I personally am not mad (not now anyways…mabilis naman ako mag forgive) when friends do this, but I am irritated because you set things aside (like the way i turned down an invitation this sunday afternoon to have time off with my friends from high school) in order to make a commitment. Then on the last minute this person cancels out on you…

so anyways, im over it… used to it in fact…
used to it but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt anymore

over and out

Loosing it all

Hahaha– it seems as if the title is a meldrama start to a horindous essay of how life can be mean and how spite can turn a person to a monstrous being… but no…

You know who (what) is my greatest enemy after the devil? hehehe Yup, for all those who knows me, i never acknowledged how i really look, people say (ahem) im pretty, but honestly i knwo this… but it just disturbs me when that compliment is followed by the word "but" or "if only"… you see… i do admit i have extra poundage that needs to be lost…

but come on… a million other girls like me knows what i am talking about when i say ITS NOT EASY!!… ive tried everything from herbalife, chinese diet pills and crash diets… i tried working out everyday and cutting down on meals (it worked for a while)… but once you reverse back… thast it– everything is gained back "double what you lost"….

so right now im blogging– i guess as a way for me to see that (and as a way to talkt o myself) that AYEEN– CHER… come on… wake up, hehehe if you really wanna wear that green dress you bought last pay day, youhave to loose that pounds hehehe… (ayeen repsonds: i have right) i have been trying to so LAY OFF!) wow… that was weird, i cant believe im letting the world know that i talk to myself…

so i guess thats about it… 2 pounds per week… thats my dedictaion… oh yeah, thanks to ronitz and tita michelle for teh nutrition plan, thanks to the others who support me to keep at it…

i feel better knowing lots of peopel out there accept me the way i am but also encourages me to improve on what i have… nice di ba? sarap mabuhay talaga! (rose colored glasses ba?)

oh yeah mom and dad are back from europe kagabi… dami pasalubong hahaha– ganda nun clothes and accesories… i have to work hard and try to study abroad… dapat dapat!!!

BIG BUDHHA

and they say its BIG BUDDHA

Oriental theme? check…. Lighting…. check…. Color scheme… check…. aircon temperature (warm) check….music….HUWAHHHT??!

Last night, me and my home girls from church (ay wait… kasama nga pala si nimrod– oo nga home girls pa rin hahahahaha!!!) went out. Ate midz flew from samar and took a 10 day vacation break to spend time with us. We figured out we should go out and have dinner.

Since i was working nights, we had to meet up early. (As of this blog still no sleep since yesterday hahahaha) and yes, we went around a bit to figure out were we’ll eat. Eh gutom na ako, and the Big buddha place in greebelt 3 looked pretty nice… when we got in, everything was ok except when we started realizing that something was "off"…. everything around us was pretty nice and cozy– but the whole ORIENTAL theme was offset by the sound of john legend and other pop sensations playing in the background…

sayang talaga. but oh well… we ended up comparing how yummy-ier it was in north park and zhong… but who are we to complain di ba? greebelt yun eh! but still we could have had better… ok naman yun company so that made up for the disappointment i guess hehehehe.

so next time… isip ibang place na lang (oh by the way i reccomend rockafeller— sarap!)

Aussies and Flips

There is one tie that binds
that is none other than God…
the goals that he lay
the path that he choose
the people he let us meet…

Starting last week around April 14, peeps from New Frontier Australia came. There were Jenny, Chris, Ruth (oldies) and the young ones Sean (24) his beautiful wife Cathy (28), Ben (21) and Alison or Ali (21); at first we was kind awkward, every time you have to speak in English and no matter how good you are in speaking, you’re bound to run out of thing to talk about… hahahaha

it was only in their last few days here that we really got to hang out and "bond". We ate at dad’s, sang at red box, hang out in star bucks and coffee bean and talked about anything and everything under the sun— from the grossest experience to testimonies and stuff about the future… it was an awesome time getting to know these people and seeing they weren’t so different from us.

Pictures and jokes…. man… we stayed up till what time again? …. and i had to drive all of them home (which was nice… i like the feeling of knowing all your friends are home and tucked in bed safely– its more comforting  i guess… anyways) it was real nice…

Here are the top 5 most unforgettable experience i had with them!

5. FINALLY someone managed to carry ME and even manage to spin me around!!! Go Kuya Sean!!! man… now i know… go for the white people— they are huge so if i stand next to them i wouldn’t look as big as i am hahahahaha…

4. Ben and his spongy story hahahaha! (secret!!!)

3. The quest of the golden swiss knife hahahaha (go nimrod!)

2. Love-a-tug… ummm hahahah crushes all around— hahahahaha

1. Poo-art stories and staying up till 3am!!! hahaaha and Ben’s words saying "i cant believe that i feel like I’ve known you more than i have known my real friends– and all in just three hours!!!" hahahaha…

we will miss them!!! aja aja aja…!!!!

****
also… reminder to self, assess how people are… we don’t want to hurt the ones we love…. ok? cge lesson learned…

If they went to malysia— i have my own advetures to deal with (hmmm if you can call it that!)

last sunday march 18 (i think) together with church friends and a friend from the office nimi wen to eco park… after church we decided to eat what should have been our baon of chicken with thyme and bought andoks– after a hearty lunch (in the church) we headed to market market to pick up nim…

Hmmm

now here’s the good part– heheheh — for a picninc— we ended up having the food that nim brought which was a loaf of banan bread and 4 sticks of chicken barbeque, ice tea and a bottle of ketchup hahahaha!!! man, now thats a picnic given that we were 9 people on board— ok i admit i cna be a suckie planner but dont blame me! hahahaha

Jan20070088

so anyways… we walked a round a lot and im telling you it was really humid. so many people were around (so dont go there on sundays)… we ended up boating and then going for some chow sa mall of asia…

boating ang sarap– kaso scary pag malapit sa edge– i dont care if they say we will not go over the edge– the fact that i can see the edge is enough to get me heading for home hehehehe

THE FOLLOWING DAY….

a friend of mine, nim… we tried to find prayer mountain— and obviously TRIED is the operative word… we went about circling the area… hayyy hahahah— we ended up just having dinner. sigh*** anyways, it was cool, at least i didnt spend my vacation at home right? besides— it was nice just spending time knowing that your intention the whole time was trying to set up a date with none other than God. i dunno… but these days i just wanna glorify God that He makes himself very visible through friends and family…. saya lang… : )
